2025 STEM Innovation Forum

Now Accepting Proposals for the 2025 STEM Innovation Forum Learning Sessions!

The STEM Innovation Forum is a collaborative space where educators, industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators come together to share effective practices, spark new ideas, and grow a national community of practice committed to advancing STEM education and workforce development.

We are inviting our partners, members, and colleagues to submit proposals for Learning Sessions that bring this vision to life. This is your opportunity to showcase successful strategies, partnerships, and programs that are shaping the future of STEM and strengthening talent pipelines across the United States!

Why Lead a Learning Session?

Learning Sessions are 40-minute, high-impact breakout conversations designed to inspire action. Presenters engage the audience through a 30-minute panel or presentation followed by interactive Q&A, offering attendees concrete tools, replicable practices, and fresh perspectives they can take back to their own organizations and communities.

Suggested topics for your session include:

  • Proven approaches to improve and enhance career awareness and exploration in STEM fields
  • Innovative career-connected educational pathways that align learning to job opportunities
  • Powerful and effective community, workforce, and industry collaborations
  • Data-driven solutions that improve student outcomes and strengthen the STEM economy

We especially welcome proposals that model cross-sector collaboration, uniting schools, higher education, industry, nonprofits, and government around shared goals.

Help Shape the Conversation — and the Future of STEM

Equip peers across the country with strategies to scale impact, remove barriers, and build capacity in their own contexts. Learning Sessions are more than sharing your story — it’s informing and helping us shape an innovative and equitable STEM workforce.

Proposal Deadline: September 21st, 2025

If you have a program, initiative, resource, or collaboration that’s making a measurable difference in STEM readiness and workforce impact — we want to learn from you!

Learning Session Proposal FAQs

What kind of session should I propose?
Proposals should highlight best practices and programs that demonstrate community collaboration. They should also align with our core themes: Creating Impactful Experiential Learning Approaches, Developing and Managing Effective Regional Strategies, and Leveraging Artificial Intelligence.
What types of AV will be available for my presentation?
The learning sessions will take place in breakout rooms located at COSI. A/V will be provided and will include: projector with screen and audio. HDMI, Mini DisplayPort (Mac), & VGA Connections will also be made available for easy connection of the presenter's own computer.
If my proposal is accepted, what happens next?
Conference organizers will notify participants of the status of their proposal on September 29, 2025 via email. Proposal acceptance includes 1 free registration - the promo code will be included in the acceptance email sent on Sept. 29.
How many people will be in my session if it is accepted?
As sessions will be open, it is difficult to say exactly how many conference participants will attend any session. However, we will have ~5 concurrent sessions available with a total of 10 breakout sessions available. (Please note this is subject to change.) Additionally from our experience, popular sessions are compelling with broad appeal and are marketed in advance of the conference via social media to increase visibility.
If I have questions about my proposal, is there someone who can help?
Please contact Kylie.Messier@STEMconnector.com or Heather Sherman at sherman@battelle.org.
