Meet the Speakers
Dr. Joseph Wilson
Dr. Joseph P. Wilson ("Joey") is a Managing Director at the American Institutes for Research. He leads AIR's artificial intelligence strategy and CS@AIR, the Center for Evolving Computer Science Education. Joey has called San Francisco home for the last 16 years but grew up in Central Florida. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering at the University of Florida; taught high school science in the Phoenix area and received his M.Ed. at Arizona State University; and got his Ph.D. in Bioengineering at UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco, where he researched how AI and computer vision can be used to parse through medical images and large public health datasets to better understand body composition, diabetes, and metabolic disorders. He uses his engineering, teaching, and research experience for social good -- especially at the intersections of PK-12 STEM and computer science education, artificial intelligence, and education policy.
Brian Greiwe
As PLTW’s Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Brian provides leadership to the teams that support the daily operations and productivity of PLTW’s Team Members as well as the support and innovation of technology solutions and enterprise data and analytics that provide access to PLTW’s curriculum and experiences. Brian Greiwe has over 20 years of professional experience in technology and strategy, initially working with start-ups and accelerating company innovation, both in the US and internationally. Due to his passion for education, several years ago, Brian focused his career on the education industry by leading the operational support of systems and delivery of new solutions while at the nation’s largest singly accredited statewide community college system.
Brian holds an MBA from the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame along with degrees from Indiana University.
Emma Moss
Emma Moss is a Digital Teaching & Learning Specialist and AI Systems Lead in Canyons School District. As a nationally recognized educator, Emma has fostered the conversation around utilizing artificial intelligence in ways that are ethical, practical, and amplifies educator's ability. She has led the development of district-wide AI frameworks and founded the Utah AI Collaborative to connect education leaders across the state. In addition to her role in Canyon's School District she is the Utah AI for K-12 Program Director. Emma’s background in Career and Technical Education, multilingual learner support, STEM integration, and instructional design informs her work helping educators and students meaningfully integrate AI. Her leadership has earned her recognition as Utah’s CTE New Teacher of the Year, Women Tech Awards finalist, Utah Teacher of the Year Runner-Up, and as a trusted voice in AI implementation in K–12.
Becky Keene
Becky Keene is an educator, author, and speaker focused on innovative teaching and learning. She specializes in instructional coaching, game-based learning, and integrating AI into education to empower students as creators. She has developed esports programs for schools and explores immersive learning through games. Becky speaks globally on AI in education and has spent over 20 years designing professional learning experiences for teachers. A National Board Certified Teacher, ISTE Certified Educator, and Certified Instructional Coach, she spent 15 years teaching, coaching, and leading programs in public schools. She is the author of the book AI Optimism and holds an MS Ed in early literacy.
Jacob Carr
Jacob Carr, also known as "Mr. Carr on the Web," is an award-winning educator with nearly 20 years of experience across grades 1-12. He is recognized for innovative teaching that combines traditional and modern methods. As an author, consultant, and international speaker, Jacob leads workshops and co-hosts the acclaimed podcast "What Teachers Have to Say." He collaborates with organizations to integrate AI in education, and his dedication makes learning engaging and effective. Outside of work, Jacob enjoys family time, art, and personal exploration, bringing a well-rounded perspective to his educational efforts.
