Meet the Speakers
Charlotte Dungan
Charlotte Dungan is the Chief Learning Officer of the Mark Cuban Foundation, which runs AI Bootcamps for high school students, teachers, and in partnership with informal educators. Charlotte is a leading expert in AI education, having worked with teams at TeachAI, Code.org, AI for Teachers, CS is Elementary, aiEDU, ISTE, MIT, and AI4K12. After 10 years working as a computer programmer, she earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Harvard University. She has helped several states revise CS standards and add AI to their curricula. Charlotte supports expanding CS education in rural areas and underserved populations. She’s also a lifelong Girl Scout and a first-generation college student.
Jessica Garner
Jessica Garner is the Senior Director of Innovative Learning for ISTE+ASCD. Prior to joining ISTE+ASCD, she served for 27 years in public education with experience in the classroom, at the district level, and at the state level. While a Spanish teacher at Porter Ridge High School in Union County, NC, she was named the 2010 North Carolina Teacher of the Year. Jessica's heart is still with teachers, and this is the lens through which she approaches educational transformation. Her passions include educational technology, global education, and dual language immersion.
Damien King
Damien King is a design thinking educator with more than 20 years of experience, spanning eight years teaching woodworking and architectural technology in Ireland and 12 years teaching middle school design and engineering in New York. He is passionate about empowering students to harness their creativity and problem-solving abilities, believing that innovation thrives when students collaborate effectively. He creates a learning environment that blends hands-on, analog activities with the thoughtful integration of digital tools. With a focus on language and literacy development, he encourages students to take risks, learn from failure, and communicate their creative ideas with confidence.
